Refunds and cancellation

This policy explains how hosted subscriptions are managed through Stripe, how cancellation affects access, and how refund requests are handled. It is not legal advice.

1. Scope

Hosted monetization is disabled for this deployment. No public paid-subscription offer should be made through this instance until hosted billing and this policy are configured.

2. Billing and invoices

Stripe processes hosted checkout, recurring billing, invoices, receipts, and the customer portal. Clipilot stores the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, and the subscription status, needed to enforce plan access; it does not store your payment-card details.

The price, billing interval, included usage, and renewal information shown at checkout are the commercial terms for that subscription, unless a separate written agreement applies.

3. Cancellation

Hosted subscriptions must not launch until the Stripe cancellation behavior is validated and this summary is configured.

Cancel through the Stripe customer portal, or another operator-supported path if one is published for this deployment. Removing your Clipilot account without first cancelling an active Stripe subscription does not, by itself, stop Stripe-side billing.

4. Failed or inactive payments

When Stripe reports a subscription as past due, unpaid, cancelled, incomplete, expired, or otherwise inactive, Clipilot restricts the account to the access and limits available without an active paid subscription. Paid access is restored once Stripe reports an active or trialing state again.

5. Refund requests

No refund commitment is published until the Stripe refund path and applicable consumer-law requirements are reviewed.

Send a request to the legal contact address, which has not yet been configured, including your account email, invoice or payment reference, transaction date, and the reason for the request. Do not send full card details.

6. Account state after a refund

A refund does not by itself determine your account's future subscription state. The operator reconciles Stripe and Clipilot so the plan, status, access limits, and invoices stay consistent, and to avoid a webhook being applied to your account more than once.

7. Mandatory rights

Nothing in this policy removes refund, withdrawal, cancellation, or consumer rights that apply mandatorily in your jurisdiction. The launch-market wording and actual Stripe behavior are reviewed together before this page is treated as effective for a commercial launch.
