Terms of service
These terms govern access to Clipilot, including accounts, workspaces, media processing, generated drafts, integrations, and paid subscriptions when enabled. They are not legal advice.
1. Service operator and acceptance
The service is provided by Operator identity not configured, Operator address not configured. By creating an account, joining a workspace, or using Clipilot, you agree to these terms and the linked privacy, legal-notice, and refund policies.
A person using Clipilot for an organization confirms that they are authorized to accept these terms on that organization's behalf.
2. Accounts and workspaces
- You must provide accurate account information and protect your password, session, API keys, and any connected-platform access.
- Workspace owners control membership and can grant owner, editor, or viewer access.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account or credentials, except where caused by Clipilot's own failure to apply its access controls.
- Do not share access in a way that bypasses plan limits, account restrictions, or workspace permissions.
3. Submitted media and permissions
You retain the rights you already hold in submitted media, URLs, transcripts, brand assets, captions, and instructions. You grant Clipilot the limited permission needed to store, copy, transcribe, analyze, transform, render, export, and transmit that material to the processors and integrations described in the privacy policy, so the requested service can be provided.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to process the material you submit, including any personal data, music, footage, logos, platform content, or third-party accounts involved. Clipilot does not grant you rights in third-party material merely because the service can technically process it.
4. Generated drafts and human review
Clipilot uses automated transcription and model-assisted analysis to propose and render short-form drafts. Output can contain transcription errors, unsuitable selections, inaccurate metadata, or content that needs further rights clearance.
You are responsible for reviewing each output before you publish it. Clipilot's product model is draft-first: generated content is not represented as guaranteed to be accurate, lawful, safe, effective, or suitable for a particular platform.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Clipilot to:
- process or publish material without the rights or authorization required to do so;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or platform rights;
- upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, evade rate limits, probe another workspace, or interfere with service operation;
- misrepresent automated output as independently verified where that would be misleading;
- use connected-platform credentials outside the purpose you authorized.
6. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Hosted monetization is disabled for this deployment (self-hosted mode). No in-app checkout is offered here; any separate license, support, or self-hosting agreement is governed by its own written contract.
7. Service changes, suspension, and availability
Clipilot may change features, limits, integrations, or supported providers as the product evolves. Material contractual or policy changes get a new version and effective date.
Access may be restricted or suspended to protect users, investigate abuse, respond to a legal requirement, address security or billing problems, or prevent harm to the service. Availability also depends on external providers used for transcription, model inference, media sources, billing, email, and publishing.
8. Termination and data handling
You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion through the contact stated in the privacy policy. As described there, Clipilot does not yet offer a self-service deletion or export control; requests are handled manually by an authorized operator and can take time, particularly for shared workspaces, durable media, and database backups already taken before the request.
Ending your use of Clipilot does not automatically cancel an external Stripe subscription or revoke every connected provider token unless the applicable cancellation and disconnect steps are completed.
9. Responsibility and liability
Clipilot is supplied as an automation and drafting tool, not as legal, editorial, copyright, platform-policy, or professional advice. You remain responsible for source selection, review, publication, rights clearance, and use of generated output.
Any mandatory rights and liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected. Final warranty exclusions, liability caps, and consumer-language requirements must be reviewed for the launch markets before this policy takes effect for a commercial launch.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Governing law not configured. The configured venue for disputes is Dispute venue not configured, subject to any mandatory consumer or jurisdictional protections that apply and cannot be waived.
